Voice note → മലയാളം text
Turn a Malayalam voice note into text.
Someone sent you a four-minute voice message and you cannot listen to it right now. Upload it to Parayoo and read it instead — clean മലയാളം you can skim, search, quote and forward.
Open Parayoo and choose 'upload a voice note' under the record button.
Why convert a voice note at all?
A voice note is comfortable to send and awkward to receive. It cannot be skimmed, searched or quoted, and it forces you to find a quiet moment and listen start to finish at the speaker's pace. Reading the same message takes a fraction of the time.
You are somewhere you cannot listen
In a meeting, on a bus, no earphones. Read the message now instead of putting it off.
You need one detail back
An address, a date, an amount. Text is searchable; a five-minute recording means scrubbing through it again.
You need to pass it on
Turn a family or work voice note into text you can paste into a document, an email or a group.
How to convert a WhatsApp voice note to text

Press and hold the voice message, choose Share, and save it to your phone or Files. WhatsApp voice notes are usually .opus or .m4a files.
- 2
Open Parayoo and choose 'upload a voice note'
Go to type.parayoo.app in any browser and use the upload link under the record button. Nothing to install.
- 3
Pick the audio file
Parayoo accepts .opus, .m4a, .ogg, .mp3, .wav and .webm files up to 10MB — which covers essentially every WhatsApp voice note.

Read, edit and forward the Malayalam text
The transcript appears in the editor as standard Malayalam script. Fix anything you want, then copy it or export to WhatsApp, Word or Google Docs.
Built for Malayalam, not adapted to it
General-purpose voice-note converters are trained on English. Point one at a Malayalam voice message and you typically get either an error or a romanised guess that is slower to read than the audio was to listen to. Parayoo starts from Malayalam:
- ✓Every major Kerala dialect — Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Kannur — so relatives who do not speak broadcast Malayalam still transcribe well.
- ✓Standard Unicode output with chillu letters (ൻ, ർ, ൽ, ൾ), conjuncts and ZWJ ligatures correct, so the text renders in any Malayalam font.
- ✓English brand words inside Malayalam speech stay in English rather than being transliterated into script.
- ✓Custom vocabulary for names and places the recognizer keeps getting wrong.
